Matthew “Matt” Rice is a trial attorney who handles complex, high-exposure personal injury cases, including catastrophic injury and construction accident claims. Early in his career, he helped secure more than $8.3 million from the City of New York for a young woman partially paralyzed in an automobile accident caused by a negligently maintained roadway.
Matt has also been involved in major litigation related to the September 11th Victims Compensation Fund, the East 51st Street Crane Collapse, the Staten Island Ferry Crash, and the Con-Ed Steam Pipe Explosion. His prior experience defending companies in multi-million-dollar lawsuits gives him valuable insight into defense strategies, which he now uses to help injured clients pursue full compensation.
