About Matthew J. Murphy

Often, clients come in on the verge of a home foreclosure, or because they are unable to put gas in their tank or feed their family. Helping secure these basic amenities and restore a hard-working Montanan’s hope for the future is what fuels my fire.

Nobody ever wants to need an attorney. Unfortunately, sometimes bad things happen to good people.

If you’re looking for an attorney, Matt Murphy wants you to understand that, while there are competent general practitioners, they are the exceptions to the rule.

Think about it like this:

If given the choice between a family physician and a spine surgeon, who would you want to perform surgery on your spine?

Expertise and experience matter in legal situations, too.

Matt has a decade of experience aggressively representing clients in the areas of workers’ compensation, Social Security disability, and personal injury law.

Case verdicts and settlements

The Murphy Law Firm recovered millions in wrongfully denied benefits:

$1,635,000 Client injured at work
$1,150,000 Family of a client who died in motor vehicle accident
$980,000 Client injured at work

While past results cannot guarantee a positive outcome in your case, it can give you insight into this attorney’s prior successes.

Biography

Matthew (“Matt”) J. Murphy is a partner and shareholder at Murphy Law Firm in Great Falls, Montana. He brings a lot of energy to everything he does, aggressively representing clients in the areas of workers’ compensation, unsafe workplace, personal injury, wrongful death, trucking & auto accidents, brain injuries, employment, and Social Security disability law.

Matt received the Montana Trial Lawyers’ Association’s Outstanding New Lawyer Award in 2018-2019. More recently, he was honored with an appointment to the Rules Committee of the Montana Workers’ Compensation Court.

Matt grew up in Great Falls and graduated from Charles M. Russell High School in 2004. He completed his undergraduate degree in political science at the University of Montana in 2009. During his undergraduate years, Matt studied international law in Rome, Italy.
