About Matthew McGahren
Have you been seriously injured because of someone else’s negligence? Are you struggling with an insurance company that refuses to take your claim seriously?
Matthew F. McGahren understands how frustrating that can be. After being injured in a car accident as a young man and receiving a lowball offer from the insurance company, Matt experienced firsthand what it feels like to have a legitimate claim minimized.
Since beginning his practice in 1996, Matt has built his career around standing up for injured people and holding insurance companies accountable. He prepares every case as though it may ultimately go before a jury and believes clients deserve honest answers, personal attention, and an attorney willing to fight for fair compensation.

Biography
Matthew F. McGahren learned early that a lawyer should never take a client’s trust for granted. His father, an engineer who helped design the Verrazano Bridge, held professionals to exacting standards. When attorneys handling one of his own legal matters failed to meet those standards, he fired them and represented himself. Matt carried that lesson with him into his own legal career.
After experiencing firsthand how an insurance company can undervalue an injury claim, Matt began practicing law in 1996 and built McGahren Law around a different approach to personal injury representation. He intentionally limits the number of cases the firm accepts so clients receive personal attention, and he prepares cases from the outset with the possibility of trial in mind.
Matt represents injured individuals and families in cases involving car and truck accidents, catastrophic injuries, premises liability, nursing home neglect, wrongful death, and other serious injury claims. His goal is straightforward: give clients honest advice, prepare their cases thoroughly, and be willing to go further when an insurance company refuses to offer fair compensation.
