Biography
David P. Meyer, Esq. is the founder and managing principal of the law firm Meyer Wilson Werning. He brings over 25 years of experience as a financial fraud attorney, representing clients worldwide in federal and state courts as well as in arbitration proceedings. At just 29 years old, Meyer filed a class action lawsuit against Prudential Securities that resulted in a record-breaking $261 million jury verdict on behalf of 200 retirees. After a seven-year legal battle, all retirees recovered 100% of their losses plus attorney fees.
Since then, his firm has recovered more than $350 million for over 1,500 individual investors around the globe. A recognized leader in the legal community, Meyer has served as president of both the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association (PIABA) and the Ohio Association for Justice. He is also the author of the Amazon #1 bestseller The Investor Protector: Stories of Triumph Over Financial Advisors Who Lie, Cheat and Steal. Meyer has been consistently recognized as “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers® and has been named to Super Lawyers every year from 2011 through 2025. His firm is ranked a Tier 1 “Best Law Firm” by U.S. News for 2025.
